Angie Johnson joined Lindsey Wilson College in 2015. She received a Practical Nursing Certificate from Southeastern Illinois College in 1998 and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Southeastern Illinois College in 1999. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McKendree College in 2006 and a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Nurse Educator in 2008 from McKendree University. She then obtained a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree with an emphasis on Advanced Practice from University of Southern Indiana in 2012.Angie Johnson's teaching interests include Pharmacology, Geriatrics, Nursing Leadership, Community Health Nursing, and Clinical Instruction. Dr. Johnson is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society since 2010, and McKendree University Nursing Honor Society since 2006. Dr. Johnson's research interests are discharge teaching and caregiver role strain/support. She is a nurse liaison to the Amish Community in Southern Illinois. Dr. Johnson lives in Creal Springs, Illinois with her husband and four children. Their ages are twelve, eleven, six, and two. She enjoys spending time with family, attending sporting events cheering on her kids, and serving within her local church.
